Wildlife Management Area around a COE reservior. Stream bottom below has a narrow opening in bottom grading to successional shrublands and forest. Mesic forests (lower slopes, cool aspects) are mostly successional tulip poplar with heavy Microstegium.;Lower mid slope in a hilly, dissected plateau landscape. Warm aspect on sandstone substrate - slope is somewhat terraced with gentle and steep slopes corresponding to horizontal geologic strata. Community is an oak forest with large white and scarlet oaks with red maple, hickory and dogwood in subcanopy. Deadfall is as large as biggest living trees.
